Summer Vacation- Day 1 "Now Get Back to Work!"

Hahahaha, my kids thought school was over.  Ha!  They weren't too excited about doing more school work this summer, but Jacob needs a little more practice with his writing skills and Hailey told me that she really wants to be in the higher math group in school, so I'm helping them both out.  It's actually kind of good because it gives them a little brain challenge in the morning, then they do some chores and after that, they can play all day.  

James just sat and played while the kids worked.  

We mostly just played around the house today, with the exception of a play date and a birthday party.  I will openly admit that my kids watched the Lego movie twice and played a video game.  Summer is an adjustment for mom too, ok?  

Hailey discovered new apples growing on our apple tree!  We pruned our tree pretty heavily last year, so we only have 7 apples on our tree this year.  We're hoping the deer won't get to them before we do.
