Look at those sweet little cheeks. She actually wanted me to rock her to sleep tonight. That's two kids in one day. Jacob wanted me to rock him to sleep for nap time!
I've had it! I'm done cleaning up after a three year old. It used to be easy to clean up after my kids, but now it has gotten to the point where while I'm cleaning up one mess, the kids are in another room making another. So I've thrown my hands up and said no more! Hailey is a big girl enough that she can clean up her own mess. The first day of making her clean she had to go to timeout three times until she finally agreed to clean. Now she is much better about it and I have one great little helper with me! I sure appreciate all the work she does. For you other moms who are interested:
Age appropriate chores for your three year old
-Picking up toys -Dusting with socks on hands -Give your kid a water bottle and dry cloth and let them clean anything -Wipe down the kitchen chairs -Clean food up off the floor around the table -Help gather laundry -Help separate laundry into piles of Dark, light, and white -Put laundry into washing machine -Help hang clothes on hangers -Help you make their beds -Help put away groceries
When I say help, I mean mom's doing the work with them. I don't expect Hailey to do anything all on her own. I help her put toys away by directing her where to put them. With other things like making the bed, it's a team effort.
Jacob finally had to learn the hard way to not get into animals faces. We keep trying to teach him, but he doesn't listen (I wonder why, he's only 1 1/2). Yesterday we were at a friends house and he started to bug their cat. He was too close, so the cat swatted him in the face. He was tough about it though. He just held his face with his hand and scowled. He didn't go near the cat again. Hopefully a lesson was learned.
Yes she's three and yes I let her use my camera. She's pretty good with it though. All of these pictures she took by herself. I'm quite pleased with her!
Grand Turk: Grans Turk ended up being kinda stormy, so we didn't get to really enjoy the beach.
San Juan, Puerta Rico: One of my favorite places. This first picture is a 16th century fort built to keep the pirates and enemies out of Puerta Rico. If you came anywhere close, you were dead. The walls were 15 feet thick and could withstand just about anything.
Everywhere you turned, there were beautiful 16th century buildings that have been kept up beautifully!
St Thomas: It was just o.k. We went into town to find some local art and I'm convinced the only thing St. Thomas sells is jewelry. We were pretty disappointed with how commercialized it is. We then went to a beach where the snorkeling wasn't the best and I will leave it at that. I will say we had a very interesting experience while at that beach.
Half Moon Kay, Bahamas: One word, Paradise! The water here was so unreal! You could go 100 feet out into the water and still be able to see the bottom. The sand felt like flour. We LOVED this place. We said we will definitely take our kids to the Bahamas one day for a great vacation where we'll practically live at the beach. We did not want to leave.
Do you think we took enough pictures of ourselves?
