The Seahawks won the Superbowl last night!!! Seattle is beyond excited! Unfortunately it wasn't a very entertaining game because the Seahawks beat the Broncos 43-8. It was a complete blow out, which is never a fun game to watch. BUT, it was the first time Seattle has ever won the Superbowl! A few records were broken and we could not be any prouder of our Seahawks. We love our Russell Wilson the most!
I have to admit, it was something else to watch the Seahawks walk all over Peyton Manning and his team, since Peyton is America's most beloved Quarter Back.
We had a little party with our friends to watch the game. I made an Oreo trifle, which James is enjoying in the picture below.
We were a happy couple. Our love made stronger through football :)
It has been a really fun and unique season to be a Seahawks fan. From the beginning of the season, Seattle has been a huge supporter of the Seahawks, so much that we were named the 12th man. (Meaning there are only 11 men allowed on the field at a time, so the fans are considered the 12th man that helps the team by cheering them on). Everyone everywhere was posting 12 on everything.
Microsoft threw a huge party last Friday for all of the employees to celebrate going to the Superbowl. Brennan said that he had never seen a party like it at Microsoft and that's saying something. Everyone was walking around the office in all their Seahawks gear and the soccer field was covered in tents filled with food, drinks, face painting, etc.
It was fun to go around town and see all of the businesses decorated in Seahawks colors. Businesses posted signs that they were closing at 2 to watch the game, including fast food restaurants, which doesn't happen for major holidays, if you know what I mean.
Tmobile even changed their lights to blue and green, when usually they are pink.
Lots of schools took photos of their students lined up as a 12. This photo was taken of my friends school and sent in to the Seahawks fan Facebook page.
It was even great to see the Empire State Building in the Seahawks colors! We couldn't be happier fans. Hopefully we will be healthy enough to attend the Championship parade this Wednesday, which I am considering pulling the kids out of school for.
