After all three kids were asleep, Brennan and I were irresponsible parents and left our kids in the room to go downstairs and share a dessert together at the restaurant on site. We were only gone for about 20 minutes and we used Skype to check in on them. It was just nice to be together, with no kids, even for a moment.

Maui-Day 3
Our bathroom has turned into a sandy mess with swimsuits and wet towels everywhere. I had to bust out the broom last night just so we could walk around and not feel sand on our feet. These are all signs of a good time.
These poor kids get woken up every morning by James, which has been around 5am Hawaiian time. They just laid in bed this morning and watched TV. They have had some pretty bad attitudes today, which is a sign of them being really tired. They are usually super happy to be on vacation, but I think they need a good nights sleep.
An early morning view from our lanai. Beautiful clear skies.
Here's something you can't do in the North West, eat breakfast on your balcony in February. We are loving this weather!
Poor guy is so tired. We were just sitting, waiting for dad to bring the car around so we could go to another beach. The day hadn't even begun.
We went to the beach out in front of the Sheraton. We got there around 8am and practically had the place to ourselves until everyone else showed up at 9. It got pretty crowded.
Hailey and Brennan went snorkeling out to the tip of Black Rock. Hailey had a blast and I think Brennan is very excited to take her on future vacations where they can do some serious snorkeling, maybe even skuba dive.
James does not love the ocean. He cried for 20 minutes this morning after I took him into the water. He didn't calm down until Brennan came back from snorkeling and built a sand castle with him. Then he dumped him back in the water to clean the sand off of his body. He still didn't like it.
Loving our vacation.
These kids are so adventurous. We hung out in the water for hours and just rode the waves.
This little man fell asleep as soon as we got in the car to go back to the hotel for lunch. He stayed asleep through us carrying him to our room and me changing his clothes, cleaning the sand off of him, and putting a new diaper on. He was so past out, he didn't even flinch.
We enjoyed some virgin piña coladas :)
This little man and his semi curly hair. Sometimes it's curly and sometimes it's straight. Today it was especially curly and cute.
Daddy kept dunking James under the water and he was loving it!
If we're not swimming at the beach, then we're swimming in the pools. Speaking of the beach, Hailey, Brennan and I kept taking turns floating on our tubes, just riding the waves. We also did more boogie boarding and snorkeling. What will we do when we go back to Seattle?
James takes his cars everywhere we go. He asks me everytime we're in our room if he can watch a "Momie?" and then will ask, "Cars?". He loves those Cars movies.
Tonight we ate at a highly recommended taco restaurant, which ended up being a small hole in the wall. The food was good and the atmosphere was a little rough. We ate on that wall there with flies fighting over our food. Brennan really enjoyed the food.
After dinner we stopped by a Hawaiian Shaved Ice shop for dessert.
Brennan is trying to get James to sleep in past 5am, so he kept him up to watch movies. He is so cute in his new Jammie's. I just love little kids in footed Jammie's.
