Summer Vacation- Day 60

Favorite quote from Hailey today.  We were talking about the story of the princess and the pea and Hailey said, "Princess pea isn't even a Disney princess.  She's just a fairy tale princess."  I think it's cute how she still thinks disney princesses are real.

Funny moment of the day came from Jacob.  I told him to get something from down the hallway, so he jumps up and pretends to grab something from over his shoulder.  Then we heard him making all kinds of noises down the hallway like he was fighting someone.  We asked him as soon as he got back what he was doing.  He said he grabbed his telescope from off his back and while he was looking through it, a Pirate shot a bullet at the ground by his foot and he had to run away to escape.  Doesn't his life sound so fun?  Everywhere we go, his imagination takes off and he ends up in his own world.  People will comment on it too while we're out in public.  Most of the time he pretends he's fighting a bunch of people using all kinds of weapons.  It cracks me up.  He also tells the most creative stories.  He knows everything about monsters and zombies.  He was telling us the other day that when Zombies get carsick, they puke up brains and sometimes they can't see, so they walk into tress.  It's definitely gross, but a part of me wants to encourage Jacob's creativeness.

This weekend was our ward Campout.  Hailey and Jacob were very excited and James was not.  He cried half the way, while Hailey kept asking if we were there yet.

The kids were in heaven being able to run around with all their friends.  One of my favorite things about our church is that I never feel self conscience wondering if my children are bothering other people.  Everyone is very understanding of children and their need to be children.  No one cares if a million kids are running around everywhere.  It's how I wish the world would be.

Everyone went to bed right before 10pm.  James didn't make a fuss, he fell right to sleep and slept in the same position for hours without moving.  He quietly snored all night.  Poor tired baby.  He had fun walking up to other people and asking them to pick him up and then immediately wanting to be put down.  It was a game to him.

These kids were not wanting to go to bed, even though it was 10 and pitch black outside.  All the kids were given glow bracelets to play with.  They all spent hours just running around with those things and flying them through the air.
